This is a nice, slim volume for people who think they don't have enough time to read a Christian book! And it's a very easy read - Tim Chester is a great communicator.
He offers some principles and tactics for time management, and some suggestive explanations of our culture of busyness, both in the church and out of the church. And he looks at how the Bible commends work and rest - both for the glory of God, and neither for the sake of the other! The second half of the book treats in greater depth our personal feelings of being busy and stressed. Tim counsels Christians to realise that what we have in Christ and in the gospel are a remedy for the pressures that we think force us to be busy and stressed.
The whole book is shot through with radical suggestions for how to shape our lives and thoughts to glorify and serve God here and now in the real, busy world of 21st century Britain. He is not afraid to challenge and to apply his faith to all areas of life, bringing them under the lordship of Christ - and we should not be afraid (or stressed) either. by Speedwell Close on 11th March 2011
